A native Arizonan, Stephanie Brown credits K-12 educators and community working together with making a difference in her life. She values processes and procedures to ensure collaboration, communication, conscientious decision making, ethical and principled stewardship of taxpayer funds, transparency, and accountability. Mrs. Brown and her husband have two children. Her daughter is a current high school student in PVSchools; her son, a graduate of PVSchools, currently attends Arizona State University’s Barrett Honor College.
Mrs. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Her professional experience includes investment advisory services, as well as marketing and business development for small businesses. She has been involved in public education advocacy in Arizona for over a decade. Mrs. Brown has served in various volunteer leadership roles at the school, district, community, and state level. Notable examples include: Arizona Ready Education Reform Council, Community Legislative Network, Superintendent Leadership Advisory Council, PVUSD United Parent Council president, and service on many PVUSD District Committees.
Mrs. Brown's Governing Board term will run through December 2024.
