The PVSchools Transportation Department transports more than 10,000 students over a 98-square mile attendance area each day. The department's 250 employees travel more than 2 million miles annually. Our fleet uses alternative fuels.

Who Can Ride

At the elementary school level, pupils in grades one through six living more than 1 mile from school are eligible to ride the school bus. Kindergarten students living more than one-half mile are eligible for transportation. At the middle and high school levels, students must live more than one-and-a-half miles from school to be eligible for transportation. To find a bus stop, visit our Bus Stop Finder online tool.

About Seat Belts

To learn more about school buses and seat belt requirements, visit the U.S. Department of Transportation's Kids on the School Bus page.

Behavior Rules

All students are expected to abide by the bus rules and to show respect for the driver of the bus. Students breaking the rules will be subject to disciplinary action and may suffer the loss of bus riding privileges. Video Monitoring Systems are placed on some transit buses. High school students must display their bus identification in order to ride the bus. View our bus behavior rules.

Sky Crossing Families

For Sky Crossing students, the current designated school is Wildfire Elementary. The Bus Finder navigation is not yet updated and does not reflect this new development.

Sandpiper Elementary School

Contact Sandpiper Elementary School directly to confirm student’s home school. Sandpiper Elementary is transitioning to a full Spanish Immersion elementary school. Non-Spanish Immersion students, depending on grade level, may be assigned Desert Springs Preparatory as their home school.
